Imagine the scene: you're at a party-enjoying drinks, and laughing at lame jokes. All of a sudden, everyone in the room turns to the host, who has just rolled out a maching holstering to microphes and a speaker. He connects the apparatus to the television screen. And we all know what's about to happen: Karaoke time! The idea of Karaoke for some makes them afraid-especially the singing part. No talent is need though. Only a great sense of humor, and good friends. However Karaoke-more than any form of entertainment is one of the best ways to really spend time with great friends. Invented in Japan in 1971, Karaoke (singing along to video and music) has become a worldwide phenomenon. And although every culture, and language has their own unique form of performing Karaoke, Hindi Karaoke is more entertaining and guaranteed to be enjoyed by all. "Yeah, but karaoke is karaoke. right?". Not exactly. We are not talking about singing the cheesy lyrics to American songs from the 80's, or wacky alternative songs from the 90's. We're talking about great songs like "Jaan J", "Aao huju Tumko", and "Tu Tu hai wahi"-all full of fun, enchanting rythmic beats. Many of the songs have such great drums, keyboards, and rhythmic sounds, that you can't resist one a Hindi song is played! Other great Hindi songs include "Woh Chand Jaisi Ladki", and "Chalo Chale Mitwa". Hindi Karaoke is so much fun becuase of the light-hearted lyrics and jumping beats. Even as I was singing Karaoke to Mika Sing, and Neeraj Shridhar's "Eas Ek King", I had more fun dancing, and laughing with my friends than I did actually trying to sing the lyrics! But then, that's what makes Hindi Karaoke so much fun! And that's the point isn't it? Make sure you have fun. Of course most importantly, you don't want to take yourself to seriously. Afterall, this isn't like American Idol, where Simon Cowell, is staring through you and want is about to tell you how horrible you sang! This is about having fun with great friend no matter what type of songs your singing Karaoke to! So next time your best friend starts to Karaoke "Jane Dil Mein Kab Se", don't let him do it alone. Pick up that microphone and sing 'til your heart's content!
