Menu Chilis restaurant Bar and grill
The USA hockey team had just lost the gold medal to Canada. Hockey that was our passion but that is another story. We really needed something uplifting. There had to be somewhere we could go to raise our depressed spirts. Someone mentioned Chilis in Parsippany. We traveled down route 46 and entered the parking lot. As we walked in the entrance we were ready for something to change our mood. Boy were we hungry and thirsty. Our depression ended as soon as we sat down. The server was friendly and she did offer her sympathy over our loss. She said wait till next year. We explained that the Olympics are every four years. That was ok though, it is the thought that counts. I am a beer drinker myself and the Dos Equis was fine. My friends on the other hand saw the Margarita list and they were in heaven. Perfect Patron Margarita, Platinum Margarita, El Nino Margarita, Tropical Sunrise Margarita, and Blue Pacific Margarita, the list went on and on. It was a good thing one person was only going to drink soda. Did I mention we were hungry? Oh yeah, we started with some appetizers. The Triple Dipper and the Loaded Nachos could have been a meal by themselves. But oh no we were ready for the main course. I have a passion for Ribs. They were good and the sauce was tangy, I tried to get the ingredients from the server but she wasn't giving it up. She did say the sauce was based on a Memphis style dry rub. My friends were devouring some Southwestern Quesalillas, Buffalo Chicken Fajitas (the word spicy was used to describe them), and Country Fried Steaks. After we had finished our meal, someone mentioned that we should order some take out for our wifes. Of course we ordered more appetizers along with some Chicken Crispers and Margarita Grilled Chicken. Since my wife has a weakness for seafood I made sure to bring home some Grilled Salmon with Garlic and Herbs. I didn't forget an appetizer for her either. She loves Spinach and Artichoke Dip. We were too full to have dessert but the list looked impressive. So over coffees we declared that we had found a new passion and it was called Chilis.
